Consent to Meeting Rules

1. Speaking Time Speakers are usually allowed 5 minutes each. The Chair may allow extra time if needed, but it’s not guaranteed. 2. Respectful Conduct Stay respectful and courteous — no shouting, insulting, or inappropriate language. Focus on the topic. Personal attacks on individuals will not be tolerated. If you disrupt the meeting, the Chair can ask you to stop speaking or leave. 3. Relevance Stick to the subject you registered to speak about. If you go off-topic, the Chair may ask you to return to the point or end your speaking time. 4. Documented Your presentation will be documented 5. Supporting Material You may submit handouts or presentations ahead of time if allowed. 6. Questions Youth Councillors may ask you questions after your presentation. Keep answers brief and focused. 7. Decisions Speaking does not mean immediate action will be taken. Councillors will consider your input alongside others during decision-making.
